Before traveling to New York City this summer, I heard so many good things about the food! I mean, that is the reason why you went there right? Lol

Because New York City consists of so many different types of restaurants, we decided to try at least two unique Brunch/Breakfast spots that could not be found in Atlanta. And what wonderful spots we found!

Both the Egg Shop and Sarabeth’s are excellent breakfast spots you have to try when visiting NYC.

Egg Shop – Located in the Soho neighborhood of New York City, this place is know for their egg-centric dishes. Traveling from the Financial District, I arrived at this small shop filled with laughter and music. I decided to try one of their items that was new to the menu, “BLT Benedict” ($15) – Brioche, poached eggs, cured pepper bacon, mixed greens, grilled tomato, blood orange citronette. I am a lover of eggs benedict, so I was excited to try their spin on it, and I wasn’t disappointed! But, get there early, because it is limited seating!

Sarabeth’s- Located in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York City, Sarabeth’s is famous for their homestyle weekend brunch, but locals also flock to their happy hour for specialty cocktails, extensive beer and wine lists. On the outside looking in, I thought it was going to be a small restaurant with limited seating, but it was quite large on the inside.  I decided to order the “Adult Grilled Cheese” ($18.50) – Pretzel bread, manchego gruyere, and cheddar cheeses, with a velvety cream of tomato soup. I was apprehensive about the pretzel bread, but I was highly surprised by how good the grilled cheese tasted and the soup was a perfect match!
